Hi, I'm Preston

I'm a product designer with 8 years building complex enterprise software. Most of that time has been in the B2B world — tax compliance platforms, operations tooling, HR systems — designing for the kind of users who don't get a say in what software they use.

My work lives at the intersection of visual craft and systems thinking. I care about the logic behind an interface as much as the interface itself. Good enterprise design means actually understanding how a system works — not just styling it better — and that's the problem I keep gravitating toward.

Outside of work, I build iOS automations with a real audience on RoutineHub, follow the San Jose Sharks more closely than is probably healthy, and collect small trinkets from thrift stores. I also hand-coded this portfolio from scratch. Which probably tells you something.
